What Is Included With Every Puppy
Our puppies are raised through a structured early-development program designed to help create confident, adaptable dogs and make the transition into their new homes as smooth as possible.
Early Development
Early Neurological Stimulation, daily handling, confidence-building exercises, age-appropriate socialization, and exposure to new environments.
Potty & Crate Foundation
Puppies begin kennel and crate routines along with a structured potty-training system. Puppies generally begin consistently using a designated potty area by approximately six weeks.
Temperament Evaluation
Individual temperament evaluations are performed at approximately six weeks to help guide puppy placement based on lifestyle, temperament, energy, and family goals.
Health & Documentation
Age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, veterinary health examination, health records, AKC paperwork, and information regarding the parents, pedigree, titles, and health testing.
Real-Life Socialization
Exposure may include people, children, appropriate dogs, household sounds, different surfaces, new objects, indoor and outdoor environments, grooming, and routine body handling.
Lifetime Support
Von Ark families receive ongoing breeder guidance and professional training support as their puppy grows.
THOUGHTFUL PLACEMENT
Puppy Matching
Puppies are evaluated at approximately six weeks old. Families are guided through the selection process based on temperament, energy, confidence, engagement, household structure, children and other animals, previous dog experience, and their goals for their puppy.
Selection order is generally determined by deposit order after any breeder or stud-owner selections have been honored.
Von Ark prioritizes appropriate placement and may recommend the puppy whose temperament best fits each family.
Registration & Breeding Rights +
Limited Registration
Limited-registration puppies may participate in training, sports, performance events, therapy work, and many AKC activities, but they may not be used for breeding.
Any offspring produced from a dog on limited registration cannot be registered through the AKC.
Full Registration
Full registration with breeding rights is offered only to approved homes and remains subject to the Von Ark breeding agreement.
Breeding dogs may be required to complete OFA or SV hip and elbow evaluations, applicable genetic testing, temperament evaluations, breed or conformation evaluations, agreed-upon titles, and any additional requirements stated in the purchase agreement.
Full registration should not be interpreted as unrestricted breeding permission. All breeding terms are governed by the signed contract.
Von Ark Breeding Incentive Program +
Von Ark offers a Breeding Incentive Program for select owners interested in showing, training, health testing, and titling their dogs.
This allows a family to own and raise their dog as a beloved companion while working with Von Ark to explore the dog's future potential.
If the dog develops into an appropriate breeding candidate, completes required health testing, and earns agreed-upon titles or evaluations, Von Ark may request approved breeding access to the dog.
Financial compensation for approved breeding or stud use, contributions toward health testing, show or title expenses, training assistance, handling assistance, and breeder guidance.
Adult temperament, health, structure, hip and elbow results, genetic testing, show evaluations, titles, pedigree, registration status, and future Von Ark breeding goals.
Participation does not guarantee that a dog will ultimately be bred. All requirements, compensation, breeding access, veterinary responsibilities, transportation arrangements, and ownership rights are documented in a separate written Breeding Incentive Agreement.

All exposure is developmentally appropriate and intended to build confident, adaptable puppies without overwhelming them.
Payments & Deposits +
Accepted payment methods may include Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, Good Dog, and credit or debit card.
Credit and debit card transactions are subject to a 3.5% processing fee.
Deposits are credited toward the puppy's total purchase price. Refundability, transfers, remaining-balance deadlines, and all other payment terms are governed by the signed purchase agreement.
Nationwide Transportation +
Nationwide transportation assistance may be available for an additional charge.
Transportation is not included in the puppy purchase price unless specifically stated. Pricing depends on destination, travel method, puppy age, and required veterinary documentation.
